Novahist 120 mg

(Fexofenadine HCl)

The Best Cure to Your Allergies

Is seasonal rhinitis or perennial allergy making life difficult for you? Do anti-allergy medicines fail to curb symptoms and affect your daytime activity? Time to switch to a better alternative – Novahist®.

We manufacture Novahist® keeping recurrent allergy and stubborn symptoms in mind. It provides prompt relief, i.e., within 5 minutes. That too without making you sleepy.

We manufacture Novahist® in three strengths which are prescribed according to your doctor’s recommendation.

Novahist® is far more effective and safe than other anti-allergics (loratidine, cetrizine). Furthermore, it is available in two types Novahist® & Novahist®-D tablets.

Active Ingredients

  • Novahist® – contains fexofenadine hydrochloride which acts as non-drowsy anti-allergic.
  • Novahist-D – contains Fexofenadine hydrochloride (outer layer) plus pseudoephedrine HCl (inner layer). The outer layer dissolves quickly (within 5 minutes) providing prompt relief from allergy symptoms, whereas the inner layer releases slowly to provide nasal decongestion for a longer period of time.

Unlike anti-allergics, Novahist® does not affect heart. In fact, the manufacturing science behind it ensures the drug works specifically to prevent cardiac side effects. The drug is a competitive inhibitor of H1 receptors only and spares muscarinic receptors. The muscarinic receptors on heart therefore remain uninflected by the drug.

Mechanism of Action

Novahist® works in two ways:

  • Firstly, it alleviates symptoms of allergy by blocking histamine (H1) receptors.
  • Secondly, it acts as an antispasmodic agent and a constrictor of blood vessels to reduce inflammation, edema, and redness.
