Pacific’s Pain Relief Rub
(Methyl Salicylate + Menthol)
Pacific’s Pain Relief Rub is a topical formulation that provides a quick relief in pain and inflammation. It contains:
- Methyl Salicylate: which is a counter-irritant. Methyl salicylate absorbs in the skin where it dilates the blood vessels producing the anesthetic and analgesic effect. It also produces a cooling sensation by desensitizing the pain signals in the surrounding nerves.
- Menthol: acts via transient receptor potential family of ion channels or (TRP’s). The TRPs are found throughout the body but TRPM8 are abundant in thermosensitive neurons. Menthol binds with the receptors lowering temperature and producing cooling effect. Menthol is also a counter-irritant and analgesic.
Pacific’s Pain Relief Rub is a water-based formulation that is devoid of greasy effects. It is easy to apply and does not produce stain on the cloth or the skin.

Dosage
