Mechanism of Action
- Paracetamol: Provides peripheral analgesia & anti-pyretic effect by reducing prostaglandin synthesis.
- Codeine: Provides central analgesia.
- Caffeine: It is a stimulant that keeps the patient alert and has mood alleviating effects. It works synergistically by potentiating the individual effects of codeine & paracetamol.
