Gesteze® capusles are used for the treatment for multiple gastrointestinal problems. It helps heal the acid damage to the stomach and esophagus.
Active Ingredients
Esomeprazole: Esomeprazole is in the class of medicine called proton pump indicator (PPI). It is used to reduce the amount of gastric acid produced by the stomach.
Mechanism of Action
The acid-suppressing properties of esomeprazole work by affecting the (H+,K+) ATPase found on the secretory surface of gastric parietal cells. This slows down the production of both basal and stimulated acid. The capsules come into effect within one hour.
Indications
Gesteze® is indicated in the treatment of
Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
Peptic and duodenal ulcer
Zollinger Ellison Syndrome
- Erosive reflux esophagitus
It is also used for the eradication of Helicobacter pylori, with a combination of an antibacterial.
